Salary scale: £28,140 dependent on qualifications and experience

Details: Full time or Part time, permanent

Holiday: 25 days + Bank holidays

Location:  Bromley, Kent (with occasional visits to Wandsworth, London as required) with opportunities for some homeworking

We run two Independent Special Schools for children aged 4-19, two Post-19 service, Outreach and Training and an Early Years’ service in Bromley.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Officer, the Community Engagement Officer will play a key role in the development and implementation of BeyondAutism’s fundraising activities, with a key focus on securing funding for our Early Years’ Service in Bromley.

Working for this inspirational charity, the Community Engagement Officer will be an essential member of the fundraising team, working collaboratively with colleagues to identify funding needs and generate supporter networks. We have in the past enjoyed fundraising success from corporates, lottery, trusts, major donors and events. You will use your experience to build and develop relationships in the community/s by providing excellent support and stewardship to our volunteers, events, and key supporters in order to increase income in keeping with our funding strategy.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in the role of Community Engagement Officer, working and networking with community groups, confident working independently, equipped with a strategic mind-set, focus, drive, and enthusiasm, as well as having excellent communication and relationship building skills.

You will be adept at planning to ensure online and offline local fundraising campaigns are integrated and digital channels are used effectively. Contribute to digital fundraising campaigns to ensure messages, reporting and content creation work together to provide a better experience for our supporters.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of communicating complex information to a variety of audiences both in writing and in person.
