BRACE has created this brand new post to help generate income online for medical research into dementia. Initially a six-month contract, it will become a permanent post if successful.

Working in a small team, you will be mainly homebased but with some team work in person if circumstances allow (applicants must live in the UK). BRACE is small enough to be a community and you will quickly get to know your colleagues, even remotely.

Under the general direction of the Head of Engagement, you will identify and pursue new opportunities for digital fundraising. This will include:

  • Developing online, SMS and other technical alternatives to traditional public collections
  • Developing more effective use of virtual challenge events, commission websites, online social events
  • Finding new ways to monetise online public information events and increase participation
  • Analysing tools used for digital fundraising, assessing their effectiveness and available alternatives; identify necessary resources and help prepare a case for appropriate budgets
  • Seeking and developing opportunities to increase regular giving online
  • Collaborating with the Communications Officer to manage the tracking of digital fundraising and related promotional activity
  • Taking on the administration of virtual challenge events, including nurturing relationships with challenge event participants, developing better resources for participants, looking for new third-party events and working with colleagues on producing an annual BRACE challenge event
  • Developing skills as a presenter of online fundraising events
  • Helping fundraising and communications colleagues report quarterly on online activity to the Trustees
  • Assisting with the creation of webinars and other information events and attracting a growing audience
  • Working with the Communications Officer to ensure effective promotion of events and fundraising opportunities and extracting content for subsequent publicity
