Main Responsibilities 

We are looking for a Fundraising and Communications (Fundcomm) Compliance Officer who will assist Brooke in ensuring ongoing compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and adherence to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice. This role is vital enabling us to continue to fund projects to reach over 2 million working horses, donkeys and mules across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Skills and Experience required 

This role will report to the Head of FundComm Compliance and Supporter Experience and will work collegiately with the Fundcomm team to ensure that Brooke are compliant with relevant fundraising legislation and regulatory frameworks. This will enable Brooke to continue to deliver compliant, effective, high quality fundraising that always puts our supporters at the heart of what we do.

We are looking for someone with a high level of organisation and excellent project management skills and they will be required to traffic projects to completion with a range of stakeholders ensuring that the day-to-day delivery and monitoring of the fundraising codes, legislation and regulation are on track.

The successful applicant will have an awareness of data protection, legal and regulatory frameworks in a fundraising context combined with excellent communication skills as they will need to communicate technical, legal and regulatory information to staff with varying levels of understanding in an engaging manner.

The role will ensure Fundcomm teams are empowered and equipped to meet their compliance responsibilities.  They will be expected to manage their time and tasks effectively, manage work from other teams, keep up-to-date with changes in fundraising regulation and have the skills to engage and communicate to others.
