NEW PARTNERSHIPS SPECIALIST

Salary: Starting at £40,000 per annum

Contract type: Permanent, Full-time, 35 hours/week. We are open to flexible working arrangement i.e., compressed hours

Location: Stratford, London (high flex, working from the office 1-2 days/week)

What will I be doing?

You will be focused on cultivating relationships at a senior level with commercial partners in the Retail and FMCG sector. You will use your business development skills and knowledge of this sector to develop a pipeline of high value prospects with the view of turning those into successful partnerships with CRUK.

You will play a key role in contributing to the development and delivery of the new partnerships’ strategy. You will do this by planning, sharing, and building knowledge Retail and FMCG specific knowledge across the whole Partnerships function to ensure opportunities for growth and increased income are maximised.

You will be making an impact by...

  • Defining and implementing a strategy to secure new large-scale partnerships for Cancer Research UK, maximising the income and further value potential in the defined sectors and aligning with the strategic aims of CRUK.

  • Using your specialist acquisition skills and sector knowledge, commercial acumen and through excellent relationship building you will be accountable for the development and managing a pipeline of high value prospects which present opportunity to deliver high value partnerships of six figures plus.

  • Building understanding CRUK’s priorities and existing activities in the sector specific area, working in collaboration with Policy & Information, Research & Innovation to identify potential funding opportunities.

  • Utilising strong CRUK network and to work closely with key stakeholders across all levels of the charity to gather insights and identify opportunities

  • Identifying opportunities and delivering acquisition and cultivation strategies which secure new partnerships.

  • Collaborating with the New Partnerships Managers to gain a comprehensive knowledge of the CRUK products and assets which are available and be able to match them to the motivations of your prospects.

  • Being the CRUK specialist in the Retail and FMCG sector and build your knowledge of the sector to a high and comprehensive standard which drives results.

  • Significant knowledge and understanding of the sectors, with a proven record of building successful relationships that generate income opportunities.

  • Extensive experience of successfully working in a target led sales environment to secure high value partnerships.

  • Ability to work with autonomy, being self-motivated and solutions focussed, resilient and target driven.

  • Exceptional networker and compelling communicator with ability to tell the Cancer Research UK story and vision.

  • Proven track record of being a great influencer with a confident and persuasive approach.

  • Knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG trends and priorities.

  • Extensive experience of working with large and high value brands.

  • Highly professional, flexible, and committed to going above and beyond the remit of the role to achieve and exceed targets.
