RELATIONSHIP MANAGER - LEGACY FUNDRAISING

Salary: £30,500 - £33,500 per annum (inclusive of £4,500 car allowance) car allowances are not viewed as a benefit or as any part of remuneration. Employees who receive a car allowance must provide a suitable car for business purposes and is based on the criteria of a minimum business mileage of 5,000 per annum

Contract type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract, 35 hours/week, Full-time. We are open to flexible working arrangement i.e., compressed hours

Location: Home Based/Field Based in North East England and Central Belt Scotland (which includes Penrith, Carlisle, Kilmarnock, Stirling, Edinburgh, Hamilton, Kilwinning, Stewarton) candidates must live within 20 miles of the boundary due to business need.

Are you an excellent relationship builder who wants to work closely with supporters and maximise fundraising opportunity for Cancer Research UK.

You will be part of the team securing a third of funding for our life-saving research. To do this you will be supporting people to build a legacy that will beat cancer for future generations.? You will be building, maintaining, and growing relationships with a wide range of CRUK supporters within your community, providing tailored information about leaving a gift in their will.

This is an opportunity to have a job which you can make your own. No two days will be the same - whether its visiting CRUK shops to chat to customers, setting up stalls at Race for Life events, delivering a speech via Zoom to community groups or giving advice to supporters on the phone. This is a flexible role, and you are in control of your own schedule. On average our Relationship Managers spend 70% of their time working from home and 30% of their time working in the field.

What will I be doing?

No two days will be the same, you will be making an impact by...

  • Speaking to supporters at in person and online events, on the phone via email and newsletter.

  • Inspiring, developing and managing them to achieve their goals through offering outstanding and tailored stewardship.

  • Ensuring each supporter has a stewardship plan in place which best fits their motivations

  • Planning and delivering effective rewards and recognition to increase loyalty and income

  • Building strong working relationships with other divisional team members

  • Supporting the development of a prospect pipelines of opportunities and identifying and cultivating leads.

What skills are you looking for?

You'll be able to bring to the role…

  • Experience and understanding of working within a community fundraising or a business development environment.

  • Experience of working as part of a high performing team, achieving and exceeding targets.

  • Ability to understand CRUK's vision, purpose, and achievements, sharing this knowledge to motivate and inspire supporters

  • Excellent networking and relationship management skills.

  • Proven ability to generate new ideas, adapt style and approach to meet the needs of different supporters.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
