About the role

This is an exiting opportunity to be part of the successful future of three of Dorset’s Local Citizens Advice (LCA).  Working together as the independent charity Citizens Advice in Dorset (CAiD) these three services provide a vital lifeline to residents of the Dorset Council area.  As the main advice provider in this area, CAiD services deliver expert legal advice and support to those in need.  This service is particularly important for those facing hardship and adversity during the cost of living crisis.

We are seeking a self motivated, committed and experienced Funding Development Manager.  You will be a skilled fundraiser, ideally with voluntary sector experience, who is also a good team player.  You will be working closely with the LCA Managers, staff and those volunteers involved in income and business development.  Your role will be to take specific responsibility for donor development and digital fundraising.

We need you to be responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with potential donors, in particular those high net worth individuals and corporate bodies and other relevant organisations who have yet to know about, and support their local Citizens Advice Services.

You will have the ability to set and meet agreed annual personal funding targets.

You will be employed by Bridport and District Citizens Advice reporting directly to the Chief Officer. Whilst the role can be delivered from home, the main office base will be in Bridport and local travel within Dorset and immediate surrounds will be expected
