Full Description

Clan Childlaw is Scotland’s law centre for children and young people. Since 2008, Clan has been working to protect and strengthen children’s rights and to improve their lives. Clan aims to improve the life chances of children and young people across Scotland by ensuring they have access to the legal advice they need as well as securing the recognition and enforcement of their rights in Scots Law. Clan Childlaw’s team of expert lawyers regularly represent children and young people in court, at Children’s Hearings, and in important meetings. They protect the rights of the children they work with and make sure their voices are heard. As an organisation, Clan is working to #KeepThePromise and play their part in driving positive change for care-experienced children in Scotland.

Clan Childlaw also helps other people to stand up for children’s rights. They offer training, resources, and a free helpline to make the law easier to navigate for people who support children and young people in Scotland. When the law is not working properly to protect children’s rights, Clan Childlaw works to change laws, policies and practices to make sure young people’s rights are a reality in Scotland. Following a sustained phase of growth, Clan Childlaw is recruiting a new Fundraising Manager, with a particular focus on Trusts and Foundations. Clan has an excellent track record of securing funding from trusts and foundations and is looking for someone to build and develop on this success, as well as exploring new fundraising opportunities. To be successful within this role, you will be a self-motivated and talented fundraiser who can secure and sustain significant grants from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.

The Fundraising Manager needs to be someone who has excellent knowledge of this area of fundraising and demonstrable experience in developing high quality applications, reports, budgets, and supporting documents for a wide range of audiences including existing and new grant funders.

To be successful in this role you will be highly organised and a great communicator who has the confidence to reach out to familiar and new audiences. You will be a natural storyteller with the ability to write compelling funding applications, with a real eye for attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity to grasp this new role and take it to its full potential. If this is something that excites you and you would like further information, contact our recruitment team today.

This role can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, with the option to work from home part of the time. Team members are currently expected to spend at least one third of their time in the office.
