Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia; a progressive and complex condition that can be devastating for the whole family. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime – either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible for as long as possible.

About the role

We are dedicated to growing our income and raising awareness. Join our creative and hard-working team as a Corporate Development Executive and you will be able to make a significant impact for families affected by dementia. We have ambitious growth plans and we want you to be part of them!

As a key member of the Corporate Partnerships team, you will collaborate closely with the Corporate Development Manager to secure a diverse and sustainable portfolio of national corporate partnerships. Your responsibilities will include managing a pipeline of promising prospects, assisting with major new business opportunities, and leading on prospect research projects. You will work collaboratively across the Fundraising and Engagement team to match products, challenge events and campaigns to our corporate prospects, in line with their interests and culture helping to contribute to the development and delivery of the corporate fundraising strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of new business success in a fundraising, sales, or marketing role, or possess a background in account management within the fundraising sector and a desire to transition into new business development. You will have a clear understanding of corporate new business fundraising with experience of building successful and mutually beneficial relationships. You will be confident in writing effective and engaging communications such as proposals and reports with an understanding and interest in the dementia care sector.
