Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

About the role:
We are currently looking for a Supporter Engagement Officer to join our fantastic Individual Giving Team!

This is an exciting time to join this growing and ambitious team, as we work towards a new fundraising strategy.  The Supporter Engagement Officer will play a key role in the development and implementation of how we can build better relationships with our supporters. This will be a varied and essential role at the heart of EACH’s fundraising directorate and liaises with all parts of the charity and external stakeholders.

We are looking for an individual with good customer service experience, who can create compelling stewardship to proactively engage, build relationships and provide high levels of stewardship to a variety of supporters.

About us:

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk and supports their families. Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies, counselling and volunteer services in the family home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.

We offer families flexibility and control over where they receive their care and support, including where their child dies; at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton (Cambridge), The Nook (Norwich) and The Treehouse (Ipswich).  More than half of our care and support is delivered in the family home and community, in surroundings familiar and comfortable for the family.

Our hospices aren’t just about end of life care; they’re often very happy and fun places, where young people can live life to their full potential. They are places where families feel safe, at home and where they can spend quality time together; enabling parents to be parents not caregivers. When time is short, we help families make the most of their precious time together and create memories that last forever.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who’s a confident, natural communicator, and who can be empathetic when dealing with supporters. You’re passionate about people, and you’ll always put our supporters first. You are creative and have great attention to details. You’ll have excellent project management and organisational skills and will be good at building rapport with supporters and colleagues alike.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proven track record of good customer care interested in taking their next step in a more project driven supporter focused role.

Interviews will be scheduled as applications are submitted!
