Do you want to work in a fast-paced, ambitious team leading on the event and campaign management for one of the UK’s biggest fundraising event partnerships? Then we want to hear from you.

This role leads on the campaign management, event delivery and cross-charity project management of a major high-value event partnership, with a seven-figure income target, a once in a career opportunity not to be missed.

The campaign will dovetail in to the charity’s largest ever capital appeal, and so provides an exciting opportunity to get straight to the heart of one of the charity’s most exciting opportunities and to affect significant impact for seriously ill children.

This post will work with many internal and external stakeholders to deliver all aspects of the campaign and event planning and delivery, including marketing, stewardship, partnership management and on the day event management.

About the Team

The Challenge Event Team sits within the Mass Participation Team and is a crucial part of the Public Fundraising department. This team of six manage a range of third-party mass participation events such as the TCS London Marathon, The Royal Parks Half Marathon and The London Triathlon, to name a few. The team raise up to £3million a year, with an ambitious and exciting growth strategy.

Challenge Events sits within the broader Mass Participation Team, which also incorporates Virtual Events and Owned Events and Products. The team have ambitions to raise £9m per year through a range of exciting mass participation fundraising propositions, which also include Facebook challenges, gaming and the charity’s flagship event RBC Race for the Kids.

About You

GOSH Charity have secured one of the most exciting event partnerships in the sector and are seeking a highly skilled event and project manager who is experienced at juggling priorities across fundraising teams and delivering to ambitious KPIs.

The ideal candidate will also have:

- Excellent understanding of the challenge event and mass events market.
- Strong project management skills and ability to create new ways of working, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Digital skills, including cross channel marketing expertise and email building.
- In depth understanding of effective stewardship journeys for challenge events.
- Exceptional relationship management skills and confident working with partners, suppliers, corporate partners and fundraisers.
- Commercial acumen and confident working with partners and suppliers.
- A real passion for working in public fundraising and delivering engaging and inspiring supporter experiences

Our approach to hybrid working

This role is based in our Central London office (WC1N, opposite Russell Square underground) with the option to work remotely up to three days a week.
