We are looking for an Individual Giving Officer; a brilliant opportunity to help develop our regular giving, direct mail, lottery and legacy fundraising activity.

Manchester Foundation Trust Charity supports ten much-loved Manchester hospitals, including Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.  We are excited to grow our team as we prepare a transformational campaign and we are looking for talented people who share our values and are passionate about improving the health of the communities our hospitals serve.

You will join our newly created Individual Giving team, working directly with our Senior Individual Giving Manager but also closely with our Marketing and Communications team.  The Individual Giving team covers fundraising activities including regular giving, our lottery programme, direct marketing campaigns and legacies.

As our Individual Giving Officer you will use your excellent written communication skills and knowledge of fundraising techniques to develop excellent supporter stewardship journeys.  You will deliver these through print and digital channels to build a cohort of committed individual donors.  You will work with external agencies to create engaging and inspiring content for direct mail campaigns and supporter stewardship materials, showcasing the incredible impact our charity makes for patients across our family of hospitals. You will be familiar with fundraising databases and CRM systems and be able to use insight and analysis to make suggestions on how to improve performance.  You will also have good relationship building skills to work with colleagues, suppliers and supporters.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in a fundraising career. Our team works collaboratively across fundraising activities so you will gain a broad range of knowledge and experience.  We are committed to supporting our team and you will benefit from a bespoke training and coaching package running for the entire 22/23 financial year.

Our team works to core hours of 10am – 4pm, and most choose to work on a hybrid home/office basis (with a bright, modern office at our Oxford Road site just south of Manchester City Centre). We expect most people to work in the office at least one day per week, but we welcome a conversation around flexibility as we seek to recruit the best candidates.

As an NHS charity we also offer excellent benefits including:

  • NHS pension scheme
  • 27 days annual leave, rising to 29 days after five years and 33 days after 10
  • Access to Carer’s leave
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave
  • Onsite nursery
  • Eligibility for salary-sacrifice fleet car and cycle to work schemes
  • Eligibility to purchase a Blue Light card and for many NHS discount schemes
  • Initiatives by MFT’s dedicated staff Health and Wellbeing team

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
