This opportunity is fixed term for 12 months and you will be required to travel across London. 

Do you love making things happen?  Are you a skilled relationship manager?  Can you spot opportunities and run with them? A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our high achieving fundraising team, to join us as a Regional Fundraiser.

We’re looking for an ambitious, smart thinking relationship fundraiser to join our team. You will have experience of proactively seeking new relationships and partnerships and the ability to develop sustainable, long term relationships with fundraisers and volunteers.

As a Regional Fundraiser the key to success will be your strong relationship building skills, understanding your supporter’s motivations, creating and spotting opportunities and providing outstanding stewardship to maximise sustainable long term income.

This Fixed term role requires someone who can hit the ground running for the next 12 months, who thrives on a challenge and has a proactive approach to their work. It is an exciting time to join the regional team at Parkinson’s UK and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is innovative and ambitious.

The role is home based and you will be required to travel across London. 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and deliver ambitious local fundraising plans and budgets to maximise support and provide exceptional stewardship and achieve financial targets in line with the regional fundraising strategy 

  • Actively support, motivate and manage a portfolio of individual supporters to fundraise for Parkinson’s UK, ensuring opportunities realise their full potential and key supporters are retained

  • Lead on the development and delivery of a portfolio of local fundraising activity, including the local delivery of the Walk for Parkinson’s event series

  • Lead on developing all streams of local fundraising in allocated areas, including community support, local corporate activity and some major donor work, collaborating with central teams

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrable experience of general fundraising principles and at least two of the following disciplines: community, events, corporate, major donor

  • Experience of setting and effectively managing budgets to achieve agreed targets

  • The ability to identify and maximise on opportunities to grow and develop income 

  • Experience of managing volunteers and supporting volunteer committees 

Interviews will be held between 17-18 August 2022

The successful candidate will be required to: 

  • Provide their own broadband service with a minimum download speed of 2Mb 

  • Have a confidential space in which to work

  • Due to the scope of the role an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required. If you don’t have a current DBS check, you will be required to apply for one; refusal to do so will result in the offer being withdrawn

  • Due to the location and scope of the role, you need to be able to travel around the region without reliance on public transport and if you will be driving, you need to have held your full UK driving licence for a minimum of one year.
