Fundraising efforts are focused on securing funds for PROPS activities and our forward strategy will include: trusts and foundations, individual giving (including legacies), partnerships, fundraising events and supporting others to fundraise for us

The purpose of this role is to develop and drive forward our fundraising strategy, and to plan and implement all actions. Also the post will have a responsibility for organising campaigns, appeals, trust fund applications and managing a range of both small and larger events. The expected annual target for fundraising is circa £150,000.

Responsibilities include:

1. Implement and contribute to ongoing fundraising strategy development.

2. Develop an Annual Fundraising Plan to include individual giving and legacy fundraising campaigns and applications to Trusts/Foundations.

3. Monitor changes to the fundraising landscape and adjust the fundraising plan to take account of emerging opportunities/constraints.

4. Work with colleagues to scope, plan, and cost adoption support projects.

5. Agree budgets (for fundraising purposes) with the CEO and Head of Operations.

6. Review Trust and Foundation (T&F) prospects and carry out research to review and identify new prospects.

7. Prioritise prospects and devise an annual plan for securing funds from T&Fs.

8. Prepare applications to T&Fs for both unrestricted and project funding.

9. Manage relationships with T&F supporters ensuring timely applications, responses, correspondence and reports.

10. Develop an understanding of our existing individual supporter base and use that understanding to inform targeted appeals.

11. Work with colleagues to identify and attract potential new individual supporters.

12. Manage relationships with existing supporters/donors, updating/informing them as appropriate.

13. Plan and implement a legacy fundraising campaign targeting existing and potential supporters.

14. Create fundraising content for website and social media.

15. Recruit and support fundraising volunteers 

16. To create and provide management responsibility for small and large fundraising events throughout the year

17. Provide management responsibility for organisation of both the Bristol to Bordeaux annual cycle ride and the Bristol to Bristol annual cycle ride

18. Willingness and ability to travel to various locations in the Bristol area
