Kew Foundation’s goal is to provide exceptional membership and donor services and deliver record fundraising to allow Kew to achieve its vision as the global standard bearer of plant and fungal research.

The stewardship team at Kew are responsible for all forms of donor acknowledgement and recognition for philanthropic supporters of Kew Foundation. We aim to provide an outstanding donor experience which ensures development teams achieve their fundraising goals and maintain their relationships with our loyal supporters.

We are recruiting a Stewardship Officer to manage the stewardship of a portfolio of major donors including preparing project updates and finding creative opportunities to engage them with our work. The role will also support stewardship activity across the team including drafting letters of thanks, coordinating formal donor recognition and mailouts of key communications, logging expected payments, ordering, and invoicing.

Our ideal candidate will be able to create engaging and inspiring copy relating to our projects and the donations that support them. You must also have solid experience of providing outstanding administrative or operational support and some experience of using a CRM database or similar. You must be self-motivated with excellent planning skills and a can-do attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will have an interest in, or passion for, Kew’s mission to understand and protect plants and fungi for the wellbeing of people and the future of all life on Earth.

You are collaborative and able to support at all levels; an essential team player willing to find creative solutions to complex challenges. You have excellent time management and project management skills and the ability to manage data and databases accurately and efficiently. You are creative, proactive and have an eye for detail. You can deliver outstanding relationship management and are a skilled communicator. Previous experience and/or knowledge in stewardship or fundraising is desirable.
