We invite you to join us as our Community Fundraiser to lead a small team who deal with an established supporter base, manage events and develop new opportunities for fundraising.

You will act as the SECHC’s main contact for community fundraising.  Your work will include building new and developing existing fundraising relationships in the community in order to increase income. This will include raising funds from individuals, businesses, events and community organisations such as schools, rotary and golf clubs by growing positive relationships, including having regular meetings and telephone conversations.

This is a small fundraising team and a further key element of your role will be to supervise, support and motivate the team. You also will need to be comfortable working independently and be able to manage your own work load and set priorities.

You will need a range of office skills, including a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher together with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) skills.

The successful candidate will probably have worked in the charity sector and must have good communication and customer service skills, together with relevant current experience as a fundraiser.

Reporting to the Executive, this position is a full-time role for 37.5 hrs per week or part-time and flexible working office days and hours will be considered. Occasionally some work outside normal office hours may be required. Candidates interested in working part-time should apply.
