Last year the St Margaret’s Hospice Lottery raised over £650,000 from players taking part in its weekly prize draw. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, it’s an exciting time to join and lead the team and take the lottery forward into its next phase of history.

Lottery Manager
Salary and grade:
£31,448 - £33,614 per annum (pay point 26 -28)
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Yeovil and Taunton, Flexible working considered
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Annual leave: Initial entitlement 33 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays), rising to 35 days after 1 year and increasing dependent on length of service.
Probationary Period: 6 months.

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced manager who has the vision to grow and evolve our hospice lottery so that it continues to generate vital funds to support our care of families across Somerset.  You will manage the day-to-day delivery of this important income stream, while constantly reviewing and adapting the business model, to ensure it remains agile and responsive to the external marketplace, evolving consumer habits and regulatory changes

With an appetite for good governance and adept at using policy frameworks and procedures, you will ensure that St Margaret’s continues to maintain its record of positive compliance with the relevant regulatory bodies that govern the industry.

Data driven, you will be comfortable and confident managing and manipulating data and budgets, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the weekly prize draw and associated campaigns. You’ll demonstrate a solid understanding of CRM databases, and how they can be used to enhance the player journey.

Having a good grasp of what makes good customer care you will create and deliver player retention strategies and help to shape and embed a first-class supporter experience, that results in long term growth. At the same time, you will use your initiative to create powerful player recruitment campaigns, and work with colleagues across the hospice to raise the profile of the weekly prize draw to maximise income.
