Salary: £21,213 - £22,262 (pay band B) plus civil service pension and other benefits

Full-time permanent post based in Edinburgh

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is embarking on the multi-year, transformational Edinburgh Biomes programme, which offers an exciting opportunity for the fundraising and membership team. If you would like to play an important part in helping to improve the lives of people and the environment then this is the job for you.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Development and Membership Administrator to increase RBGE’s fundraising capacity, and to provide a high standard of donor and customer care.

We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a small tight knit team. You will be responsible for the accurate recording subscriptions on our donor database as well as processing purchase orders, dealing with membership correspondence and maintaining our donor and membership database using Raiser’s Edge. You will also assist the team with event planning programmes and manage logistics associated with events to the highest standard. As a highly organised individual, you should have good written, numerical and verbal communication skills and be computer literate. You must have sound administrative and organisational skills and will need to have good attention to detail. Some flexibility may be required to assist with events in the evenings and weekends. Experience of working with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM database is highly desirable.

Full details of the post including a job description and person specification can be found on our website

Interested applicants should send a CV and covering letter outlining the skills and experience they could bring to the post, as well as complete and submit an online equal opportunities questionnaire by midday on Friday 2nd July 2021.

If you have not heard from us within two weeks of the application deadline, please assume that your application has not been shortlisted on this occasion.
