OVERALL PURPOSE
➢ To develop the Patrons programme and lead on Patron communications and
administration.
➢ To work with the wider team to help identify income generating opportunities, via
sponsorship, undertaking research into potential Trusts and Foundations, and supporting
Individual Giving.
➢ Develop a range of fundraising initiatives, including public appeals and supporting the
communication and advocacy of Project Tullie.
➢ To lead the coordination of fundraising and advocacy events such as the Tullie House
annual dinner.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Patrons
1. Coordinate the management of Patrons, to include the monitoring and recording of data
within the Customer Relationship Management system, updating Patron profiles, the
processing of payments and membership renewals, working closely with the finance and
front of house teams.
2. Ensure a programme of regular communications is delivered to Patrons and stakeholders,
including newsletters and direct emails, working closely with the marketing team, the
Director and PA to the Director.
3. Coordinate a programme of on-site and off-site events and visits for Patrons and other
stakeholders and explore funding and sponsorship opportunities for these events. To include
leading the coordination of the Museum’s annual dinner celebration.

Project Tullie
4. Support the Head of Strategy and Development in delivering a programme of workshops,
communication events, presentations and digital newsletters in relation to Project Tullie,
working with external consultants where necessary.
Fundraising
5. Maintain a fundraising and sponsorship database that provides an overview of potential
fundraising and sponsorship opportunities and follow due diligence in ensuring the database
is proactively maintained and kept up to date.
6. Monitor and record contributed income generated across the organisation through grants,
trusts and foundations, donations and individual giving, both on-line and on-site, compiling
and reporting on this data.
7. Work with the Director, Head of Strategy and Development and Senior Leadership Team to
deliver the fundraising strategy, initiatives and events, developing a good understanding of
funding criteria and conditions outlined by potential funding bodies.
8. Conduct preliminary research on companies, individuals, Trusts and Foundations that match
the museum’s aims and fundraising strategy.
Communications
9. Support the Head of Strategy and Development with the management of the Development
Committee through attendance at Committee meetings, the drafting of reports,
presentations, ensuring the collation and dissemination of information including agendas and
minutes.
10. Support the Director and Head of Strategy and Development to cultivate and build strong
relationships with potential stakeholders, partners and potential donors, e.g. patrons and
ambassadors; maintaining relationships through communications such as email, telephone,
letters, meetings, presentations and networking events.
11. Support the communications strategy in promoting charitable messaging and act as an
advocate to ensure the communications strategy is maintained and adopted.
Other
12. Monitor and maintain departmental financial records ensuring payments are made and
received on-time.
13. Schedule and coordinate meetings and hospitality. Organise meeting rooms, catering, travel
and accommodation as necessary.
14. Always maintain a professional approach and aim to build good relationships with partners
and stakeholders.
15. Work across the service to reduce operational costs and maximise income opportunities.
